Welcome to our page.
I am not sure what encouraged you to come on in and willingly waste away what can eventually amount to hours of your life, just watching ours... but I hope you enjoy it. We are a blended family which adds up to .. DC.. Me (J) and 7 offspring.. three grand daughters and of course... two puppers. Currently DC, the youngest critter ("L"), the furbabies and I are the main characters of this tale. The rest of the rest of ours are off living their own adventures. As I write this we are watching clips of others living life on two wheels and dreaming of the day coming where we shed the confines of rooted living and take to the roads. MORE on Coastal Gypzies..... Coastal Gypzies was born when Josie and Laura met Dean. Three gypsy souls that were already travelling the same road now do it together, on two wheels, and dreaming of the day where we shed the confines of rooted living and take to the roads full time. When given the choice we take the back road and stop to meet the people along the way. We want to remind the World what a beautiful place it is and that we are all just human. Dean has been riding the longest and comes with a “dirty” past.. Dirt bikes that is.. About 7 years ago he took to the street bikes as well. He comes from the West Coast but has lived all over this great country. Life was a struggle to get this far but with a true Gypsy Punk Rocker attitude he grabbed life’s troubles and curb stomped them! Even though there will still be hills to climb it is only open road from here. Josie is East Coast born and raised, but her gypsy soul feels like every community she visits becomes home. Her first memory of riding was at the young age of 6 when her parents lit a fire in her by taking her two up across Canada. Even though she only has one season of riding her own down, she is ready to hit the wide open road and call it home. After her ride, Harriett, people are her passion. She loves having the chance to meet as many people as possible and hearing their stories. Life tells the best stories and she wants to share them all. Laura, aka Little Lady, also has one season in as passenger. She has the fire in her and is counting down the days till she rides her own. With her adventurous Gypsy spirit along for the ride there is never a dull moment. While her passion for the open road calls her so does her love for the sea, someday we may lose her to the waves but she will always be a compass that leads us home. Below you will find the YOUtube link to some of our first attempts at capturing our rides.. stay tune as there will be many more to come. We already have hours of footage to edit and share. Gear is always on the upgrade and the learning curve is wide but we are knees to the asphalt and taking it swift! |

Meet Dean... aka DC and Quinn
A true Canadian.. he has grown up all over Canada and finally landing in Nova Scotia for an extended time in 2009 at the age of 34.. he has always said that while born in ON ... BC is home but we are growing on him here in NS! Especially since meeting L and I in 2018.
HIs passions outside of biking include music and making videos of biking...lol... A master roofer by trade he works hard to play harder but takes time to enjoy being on the roof with his crew (his sons).
Quinn joined the family in Jan 2019, with some gentle nudging from J ... a stop was made at Privateers Harley dealership while on a run to the city with the sister wives... just to look.. A few moments later love was in the air, The sister wives forgotten, DC was off marrying Quinn. She has been second wife *I am not moving position* ever since.

East coast born and raised.. her gypsy soul has taken her to various places on vacations but the open road continues to call.
Her love for the road on two wheels started with her mother's dream to ride across Canada. When J was 6 her parents forged a plan and put it to action, teaching her to dream big and make it happen. They set out to see the country on two wheels with J and her brother, and made memories that would last a lifetime. Now J lives to do the same for her children.
After the trip J and her dad continued to ride and it was the two of them for many years.
Harriett has been in the CG family when it was just her and DC... When J was in the process of making her lifelong dream to get her license to ride a reality.. DC found Quinn so J could connect with Harriett.. Life is now s it should be.

Meet Laura... aka Lil'Lady....
She is to amazing for words but I will try... this girl amazes me on the daily. She is active in her community and has a wide variety of interests. While her roots are in the country she is all city too. She has grown up running the woods on four wheels but is new to the world on two wheels. The picture featured here was her first day, two up on Quinn... on any motorcycle but her comfort would have you believing she grew up on them... In her first season she logged many hours two up and has been copilot of DC for many miles. Second season for both of us will have her try the back with mom for more then a short run down the road. Her dreams are in the sea but I know she will take time to tour the miles from coast to coast with us too. |
